wine rack
I had been sitting on some offcuts from previous projects for awhile, unsure of what to do with them. They were randomly sized pieces cut from larger polycarbonate sheets (leftover from Stockyard Institute’s retrospective exhibit at DePaul Art Museum last fall) and 1’ x 1” x 6” common board (leftover from the bed that I built using Semi-Exact’s Bed Frame Kit). After much deliberation, I decided to make a wine rack. Layering and angling the polycarbonate pieces creates interesting patterns, while the cupping of the common board allows for a subtle and natural resting spot for wine bottles. I built and assembled this (with cabinet screws) on a rainy and cold Sunday afternoon.
